VR Exhibitions
The VR Exhibitions were a series of virtual showrooms developed by interior designers from Clavis Studio and Artterra, exploring how digital technology could reimagine the way we experience art. Rather than being limited to static images online, these exhibitions placed artworks into immersive, three-dimensional environments where visitors could navigate rooms, view pieces to scale, and imagine how art might live in real spaces.
The goal was to move beyond the traditional gallery model and experiment with how art could connect with audiences in the digital age. By pairing artworks with thoughtfully designed interiors, we created an experience that was both accessible and inspiring — one where viewers could engage with art not as something distant, but as part of everyday life.
Building on this idea, Artterra and Clavis launched an Interior Design Competition, inviting interior designers to build their own VR exhibitions and curate unique digital spaces around selected artworks. The competition challenged designers to reverse the traditional approach — creating environments shaped around the art itself — and gave rise to a new wave of experimentation at the intersection of design and technology.
Together, the VR Exhibitions and Competition marked an important step in Artterra’s evolution, testing how immersive technologies can expand access while deepening the relationship between artists, designers, and audiences. They became both a showcase for creativity and a proof of concept for how digital tools can transform the visibility of impact-driven art.
