Amanda Hugon
Amandas artwork is inspired by everything around in her world, whether its travel, nature walks, painting large outdoor walls around the province, or just enjoying a visit near or in a body of water or hiking in the snow capped mountains.
Hugon feels like art heals the soul, and the ability to express it from pushing Color onto a solid medium is therapeutic.
Studying around the globe and searching for her ancestors family heirlooms that are hidden in the archives of museums and art Galleries has turned into a hobby for Amanda, which then transforms her travels and everyday living into the ideas she translates into art forms and eventual shares in collaborative shows or paints on large walls with her Collective: Raven-Tacuara.
She is working on carved wood mediums and copper elements for the future exhibits that she hopes to host a travelling show. “I am more than excited to share what I have been working on to attract the attention of my coast Salish families”
