Reflecting on all of my scars from the past and being mindful that they can never be erased, I am left with a deep awareness that there will always be traces left behind; faded memories that become lines and marks, which are extremely valuable moving forward. Inner strength, and an openness to new possibilities for the future, can grow out of knowing how much resilience one has demonstrated.
