The pure magic of a thriving bit of wetland. These tadpoles are like little musical notes in the living and fully orchestrated musical that is a marsh.
I wanted to make this a large piece to hopefully create a kind of portal that their viewer can escape in and experience the joyful energy that comes with witnessing one of nature's incredible miracles. The movement and metamorphosis of a tadpole to a frog or toad.
As a child, so thrilled to notice and become aware of all the intricate parts of a wetland, nothing made me laugh with glee as much as discovering tadpoles living and swimming around busily in a pond or stream.
