Kathy Teasdale

Kathy is a self-taught landscape and wildlife artist who works in many mediums: oils, acrylics, watercolours, pencil crayons, ink and pastels as well as graphite. Born in the Eastern Townships, she now resides in the countryside of Ogden in southern Quebec where inspiration for her paintings surrounds her. She captures a special essence of nature that gives the viewer an insight into her unique style.

Her body of work consists of mainly landscapes and wildlife from the area of southern Quebec known as the Eastern Townships.
Currently, she is working on a themed collection of paintings representing the changing seasons and life in rural Quebec. Each work has unique challenges; to capture the sparkle of snow on a cold winter’s day or wet leaves from a spring thaw, a barn at twilight with cast shadows on the snowy landscape, or the heat of a summer’s day while harvesting a field of hay. Each painting gives insight into the quiet beauty in the region that she now calls home, Ogden.

She has exhibited at Gallery de Sherbrooke; Bibliotheque Sherbrooke; Stanstead’s Haskell Free Library and Opera House; Parc Marie-Victorin in Kingsey Falls; Lennoxville Library; Lennoxville Women’s Centre Art Exhibition; Café Folies, Ayer’s Cliff; Art M, Magog; and a solo at Gallery Yvette Rousseau, Coaticook, QC.

Artterra's headquarters are located in Toronto, which is situated on the traditional territory of many Indigenous nations, including the Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. We recognize and honor the enduring presence and contributions of the Indigenous peoples and their languages, cultures, and histories, and are committed to learning from and working with them towards mutual understanding and respect. As a business that represents artists from all over current Canada, we acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the unceded territories of Indigenous peoples across this land. We remain committed to recognizing their sovereignty, respecting their rights, and supporting their ongoing efforts towards reconciliation.
