For Sandra, nature is not only an inexhaustible source of inspiration but also the nursery that provides the raw materials (wood, roots, bones, mushrooms, wasps’ nests, etc.) from which she creates her artworks.
"Striking such a stunning pose requires time, practice, and patience. This applies to the athletes performing the stunt and to the artist working to capture the moment."

I'm so excited to add Sandra's art to my collection. Her whimsical work always fills with me so much joy and perseverance was calling to me the second I saw it. It's a beautiful reminder that some things that are difficult are worth the striving from day to day. For now this piece is in a home near my plants but I can foresee it moving around as my home life continues to change.
