Kateryna Kobylianska
Kateryna Kobylianska has been communicating visual research on mind games since 2018. She is an artist based in Montreal, who explores concepts of nature, silence, synchronicity, and sincerity.
Kateryna believes that non-figurative art allows viewers to build their individual interpretations by giving free rein to their imagination. Or simply the invitation to contemplate the gap between what we see and how we understand, what we caught.
Using multiple layers of mixed media in her creative process, she paints using acrylics, watercolours, pastels, and lacquer on large canvases.
Her artworks are represented in exhibitions from South Sinai to Barcelona, and from Kyiv to Montreal. They become causes for pauses, where Kateryna invites the audience. So far the artworks have been shown at 20 expositions. And Kobylianska is taking an active part in art residencies, interdisciplinary projects, and giving art classes to others.
“My art is eternal research on borders and metaphysic light”, - says Kateryna.
The inspiration she finds while travelling, noticing human diversity, making jokes, reading, loving, and walking.
