Artterra began as an online gallery and shop, showcasing emerging artists and curating collections rooted in creativity and social purpose. Over the years, we had the honour of representing 67 artists from across Canada, reflecting the depth and diversity of powerful work created throughout the country.

Those early years laid the foundation for who we are today, collaborating closely with artists, building visibility, and exploring how art can live beyond the canvas. What started as a gallery has since evolved into a creative studio that co-creates projects blending storytelling, activism, and community.

Below is a small collection of the artworks we once represented. This page is archived, and Artterra no longer holds rights to sell these pieces. If you’re interested, please contact the artists directly.

Chelsea Von Sass

Chelsea is an artist whose work explores the intersection of emotion and creativity, offering a personal yet universal connection for viewers. Specializing in objective abstract realism pieces, Chelsea works primarily with acrylics and oil paints, drawing inspiration from impactful moments and personal experiences. Her art is both a reflection of her inner world and a source of balance, providing an outlet from the intensity of her career in the insurance industry.

Painting serves as a form of escape and renewal, contrasting her high-pressure professional environment with an artistic process that is light, airy, and restorative. As Chelsea explains, "Art is my way of processing emotions and relieving stress. It allows me to explore feelings I might not otherwise express." This duality—between her demanding career and the calm, meditative act of painting—infuses her work with a sense of harmony and depth.

Chelsea’s artistic approach is inspired by the Impressionist masters, particularly Claude Monet, whose emphasis on light and emotion resonates deeply in her practice. Like the Impressionists, she seeks to evoke a feeling rather than define it, inviting viewers to bring their own interpretations and experiences to her work. "I don’t aim to tell people what to feel when they see my art. My goal is to create a space for connection—whatever that may look like for each individual," she shares.

Over the years, Chelsea’s work has found homes with collectors and businesses across Canada, including tattoo shops seeking unique and meaningful pieces. Her art is rooted in a desire to inspire and connect, demonstrating the transformative power of creativity. For Chelsea, painting is more than a hobby or profession—it is an essential part of her mental health and well-being, a practice that keeps her grounded while allowing her to grow.

Chelsea’s vision as an artist is to continue creating work that resonates with others, sparking moments of introspection, inspiration, and connection. She hopes her journey will encourage others to embrace creativity, no matter where life takes them.
