Unique, Curated, Masterpieces for your space
"As an interior designer, I'm always on the hunt for unique pieces that breathe life into spaces. Artterra's curated collection never disappoints. Each piece is a conversation starter, and their commitment to originality is unmatched. A designer's dream destination." — Amelia L.
Inspired by my Colombian heritage and the work of 18th C. photographer Karl Blossfeldt, these wall sculptures aspire to highlight the beauty and biodiversity of plants native to Colombia. This piece titled “Restrepia” represents an orchid to celebrate the fact that Colombia has the largest number of orchids in the world, with more than 4,000 different species of which 1,543 are found only in Colombia.
Designed to hover off the wall and cast a soft shadow, these domes are each, uniquely hand painted with glaze, bearing unique colour applications and combinations, and merge my love of sculpture, watercolour and block-printing techniques to reveal elegant plant silhouettes as would be seen through an x-ray.
