Most of my works are inspired by the nature's beauty of Vancouver, BC. I take photos from where I visited from just walking in the park, besides the road or some road trips, and turn them into jewelry.
Materials I use are fabric and cotton fross for the embroidery part and stainless steel, zink and resin for the jewelry part.

About the Artist
I'm Dao, a self-taught embroiderer living in beautiful Vancouver, BC. I initially learned my crafting skills from my mom. She taught me sewing, crochet and macrame. As time went on I began experimenting with embroidery and found a way to implement all of my creative skills into my embroidery.
In 2017 I started my own youtube channel making DIY videos and it soon morphed into a platform to showcase by budding interest in embroidery. I started with ribbon embroidery combined with tutorials on making handbags, wallets and various articles of clothing with ribbon embroidery on them. In 2018 I began making wearable art in the form of hand embroidered jewelry, such as earrings, rings, pendants and bracelets and sold them on Facebook. In 2021 I moved to Canada with my husband and shortly thereafter started my Etsy store.
Living in Beautiful British Columbia has had an impact on my embroidery as I now find inspiration from my new surroundings. Recently I have been using flowers, birds, mountains and lakes from my local area in my work. I hope you find my work enjoyable.
