About the Artist

Rooted in the idea that everything has beauty, Grace's art collection revolves around the simplicity and yet indescribable beauty of colour. The lack of it or the astonishing vibrancy that takes place when she uses the canvas as her mixing plate. This collection is really about the beauty and aesthetics of having fun with art and not being worried about the final image. Each piece has a different emotion revolving around it that the artist has tried to show with the colours used.

"I am a 21-year-old self-taught artist. I believe that my path so far has strongly taught me to trust my instincts, follow my passions and believe that I will attract what energy I put out. This has definitely helped in allowing me to have the drive behind succeeding and to remember that the path is not always straightforward. Often it winds and bends and can even loop back to where you started.

As a travelling artist, I make do with any studio space and tools that are accessible, including using old styrofoam jugs as paint pallets in the middle of the jungle. It only adds to the essence of the piece. I have painted artworks in the middle of the jungles of Costa Rica, in hostels in Nicaragua, outdoors in Banff or at my home in Ottawa. Wherever I am in that moment is where I will create."
