This piece is part of the “Art of Forgiveness” series. These delicate paper tapestries are about overcoming feelings of shame.
Note from the Artists:
"I tear, cut and stitch through my artwork as if I were tearing and cutting through shameful moments from my past and then stitch them back together with self-compassion and forgiveness. This particular piece reflects the non-linear path to healing."

Whether I like them or not, cutting through my monotype prints allows me to let go of my attachment to them. It frees me from judging whether they are “good enough” or not. Each fragment of paper represents the shredding of painful moments from my past. Stitching these moments together into a tapestry, not as they were, but as memories with positive outcomes, are symbolic of my healing and my ability to forgive the past. |
We donate 2% from every purchase to a rotating list of Canadian charities. To read more click here.
