Call for Queer Artists

In an effort to feature more representation, artterra is committed to seeking proposals and submissions from queer artists at various stages of their careers all over Canada!

Before submitting, please remember that we are devoted to LGBTQ+ and queer-identifying artists. Your work may reflect that but is not mandatory as you may have more intersecting identities. We’re looking for original works. All entries must be in English and original works. Plagiarism, which includes the use of third-party expressions will not be accepted.

We are curating the artwork on artterra for interior design clients and we are currently accepting medium and large scale artwork i.e 12 inches and above. 

Please note: there is no fee to submit work, or any other fees required. We only charge a percentage of sales once your artwork sells.

REQUIREMENTS:

Submissions may not be represented or available for purchase on other sites or galleries during the period of our representation Aug 2023-Jan 2024.

For paintings, illustrations, drawings, sculptures and prints, please submit 3-6 pieces that belong to the same collection of work. We ask you include high-resolution digital files in jpeg or png format. Please resize your photos before submitting to a maximum of 2 MB and no larger. 

Submit your work through the application form below. Submission through any other format other than the form below are not accepted.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Entry Deadline: July 3rd, 2023

You will be notified of the final decision via email by July 17th, 2023. If your work is selected, you will receive further information at that time. All participants will be notified via e-mail. We review and respond to every single one of our applications. If you don't hear from us in time, please check your spam folder and contact us. 

All selected work will be featured in our online gallery Aug-Jan 2023. 

AGREEMENT

Artterra Arts Inc. reserves the right to use images of the artwork on its website and social media. By submitting artwork via this call, the artist agrees to the terms outlined above. The artist submitting their work understands that inclusion is not guaranteed as this is a juried opportunity. Artist retains full copyright of the work. Upon acceptance, images will be used by Artterra Arts Inc. on the artterra website, social media and other promotional opportunities that will be communicated.
